SponsorWall FAQ
Updated 26 September 2026
Can I keep one wallpaper or rotate?
Choose one wallpaper or rotate every 30 minutes, 1 hour, 6 hours, 12 hours or 24 hours in Settings. New accounts start with 30-minute rotation; existing saved choices remain. Stop rotation or Start rotation is also available on Overview. Applicable campaign rates may differ for single wallpaper and eligible rotation. Rotation needs eligible funded artwork and a valid online lease; switching alone earns no points. Fallback choices remain under your control.
Will my slideshow come back?
If activation asks for a Picture background, open Windows Settings → Personalization → Background, choose Picture and select a locally saved JPG or PNG. Reopen SponsorWall and retry activation. The advanced temporary-static slideshow option requires separate consent and supported recovery information. Keep original files available; restoration cannot guarantee identical shuffle timing or recover missing or managed sources.
What does SponsorWall do?
It displays sponsor wallpapers matched to your preferences and work profile. You can pause or reject a campaign at any time. Gift card availability is shown in Rewards. Cash rewards are unavailable.
Does it watch my screen or browsing?
No. Limited Windows signals help check whether your desktop is exposed. SponsorWall does not capture your screen, read window titles or collect browsing history. See Privacy for the data stored and shared.
Are audience preferences required?
No. Optional status, study, work and interests help match campaigns. They are never inferred from your activity. Change them in Settings.
How do I pause or get my wallpaper back?
On Overview, choose Pause for one hour, 24 hours or indefinitely. Restore wallpaper also stops sponsorship. To quit, use Quit & restore in the Windows system tray. Closing the window leaves the app running.
Why are no campaigns available?
Campaigns must match your country, profile, categories and mode, and have time and budget remaining. A campaign you rejected can still appear with Reactivate sponsor when it is otherwise eligible. Campaigns you reported for safety remain excluded. Review Settings, search or move through campaign pages, or check again later; keep your profile accurate.
What are Subtle, Sponsored and Takeover modes?
Subtle adds a sponsor mark at the bottom right, sized to 13% of the screen width, while preserving your background. Sponsored uses a full campaign image. Takeover allows more prominent branding and requires your explicit choice. Campaigns must support your selected mode.
How does a Qualified Display count?
Press Windows + D to reveal your wallpaper for the campaign’s required duration. The preview inside SponsorWall does not count. Covering windows, idle time, lock, sleep or pause interrupt unfinished displays. One continuous visit counts once; another can qualify when you return after the cooldown. Interruptions never shorten the cooldown. Campaign limits apply, extra monitors do not multiply points, and exposure does not prove attention.
Can I withdraw my points?
Choose an available gift card in Rewards. Its denomination, current points cost and any promotion are shown before confirmation. Simulated points cannot be redeemed. Save your recovery code to restore your account on another PC.
Why do pending points differ from available points?
Available points are confirmed. Pending points still need validation; unsent displays and local estimates are not final. Shared-pool rewards settle after the campaign ends. Demo points are always separate.
Why did points stop increasing?
Check the status on Overview. Pause, a covered desktop, idle time, cooldowns, ended campaigns or limits can stop new points. Automatic earnings are limited to 100 points per account per calendar day and 2,000 per calendar month in Asia/Kolkata. Compensation does not use these limits. Campaign caps may be lower. With current supported fixed-rate assignments, eligible wallpapers and valid displays continue at the cap, but no further automatic points are awarded until there is room again. A display near a cap may award only the remaining points. Reconnect to sync waiting displays; duplicates never earn twice.
What happens when I am offline?
Pause and rejection still work. Waiting displays stay on this PC until reconnection, but may be rejected if the campaign or offline deadline expires. Expired campaigns stop qualification and trigger wallpaper restoration.
My wallpaper did not restore. What should I do?
Pause, reconnect missing displays and check that your original image is still available. Then choose Settings → Restore now. If it fails, keep the app data and contact support with the error. Do not force uninstall or delete recovery data.
How do I report an unsuitable sponsor?
In Campaigns, choose the flag beside the sponsor, then a reason. Add details without private information. Reporting hides the campaign locally and queues your report. Use Reject if the sponsor simply isn't for you.
Does reset or uninstall delete everything?
Reset restores wallpaper and clears local profile, history and images. It can disconnect you from existing points and does not erase online records. Microsoft Store uninstall can remove local data; the desktop setup uninstaller retains it. Restore your wallpaper before uninstalling. Contact support for online-data requests; save your recovery code before resetting or changing computers. Self-service online deletion is unavailable.
How do I send diagnostics or get an update?
Use Help & Support → Copy diagnostic information, then email admin@sponsorwall.in. The copy contains public support IDs, app version, connection state and last sync. Do not send databases, private keys, credentials or wallpaper files. Microsoft Store manages updates for Store installations. Contact support for other installations.
